The Legends Golf Classic, held on a beautiful September day at Kinsale Golf & Fitness Club, was a great success. More than $100,000 was raised for the Legends Endowment fund which provides tuition assistance to Bishop Watterson students.

Golfers were treated to a round of golf, a fabulous swag bag, and a reception with delicious appetizers and drinks. The event included a silent auction which featured vacation homes in Siesta Key, Fort Myers, and Myrtle Beach as well as rounds of golf at premier golf courses around the Columbus area.

Congratulations to the winners of our golf outing: Deacon Frank Iannarino, Chris Campisi '81, Tom Nolan '82, and Dan Hayes '82.

Fall Kairos Retreat for Seniors

Members of the Class of 2026 attended a Fall Kairos Retreat this month, the 35th held by Bishop Watterson. Kairos retreats, based on a national model, provide students with an opportunity to grow deeper in faith while creating supportive relationships with each other.

Monthly Lunch & Learn Events Provide Career Insight

In September our Lunch & Learn theme was "All Things Military" and in October the theme was "All Things Business." Students sat down for lunch with professionals to hear about their work and to ask questions. More than 70 students joined 13 professionals for the October event.

If you have flexibility in your schedule and are able to come share your professional experience with our students we would love to hear from you.

Lunch and Learns are held monthly on a specific topic, giving students a brief taste of a career path of interest.

We also host the Alternative Career Pathway Event, an evening event for students and families to explore options outside of the typical four-year college path.
