Bishop Watterson held our first ever Trick or Treat for children from the BWHS community on Sunday, October 29. BWHS students decorated 12 classrooms in Freshman Hall for the children to visit. Lots of treats were available for the nearly 250 future eagles in attendance.

Legends Golf Classic 2023 |
|
The Legends Golf Classic, held on September 11 at the beautiful Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club, was a huge success, raising $163, 550 for tuition assistance. Many alumni, current parents, and friends of BWHS participated. We are incredibly grateful to the Kenney family, the staff at Kinsale, and our many donors and sponsors for such an amazing day. |

St. Lawrence Haven Service |
|
Our Alumni Department provides monthly service to St. Lawrence Haven, the sack lunch program run by St. Vincent DePaul. Volunteers meet at St. Lawrence Haven, 244 E. Rich Street in downtown Columbus on the third WEDNESDAY of every month from 9:30 a.m.-Noon to prepare and package meals.
In addition, we deliver much-needed sandwiches, fruit, drinks, chips, and treats for the patrons of St. Lawrence Haven. These items may be brought to St. Lawrence Haven while we are volunteering, or may be dropped off at Bishop Watterson by 9:00 a.m.
The need continues to be great and we are always looking for volunteers to join our team. If you would like to become involved, please email Terri Kernan at tkernan@cdeducation.org.

We will be participating in our monthly service to St. Lawrence Haven on Wednesday, December 13. In addition to packaging and preparing meals, we will help set up the Christmas store where clients can shop for their children.

Six Seniors Named National Merit Commended Scholars
Six Bishop Watterson students have been named National Merit Commended Scholars based on their performances on the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Congratulations to Pierre-Andre Geoffrion, Michael Daniels, Katie Driscoll, Everest Veliu, Dylan Crumbaugh and Max Melaragno!

Football Team Regional Champs
The varsity football team won the Division III Region 11 championship last Friday with a 19-13 victory over Bellfontaine and moves on to the state final four! The Eagles will face Celina in the state semifinal on Friday at Doug Adams Stadium in Xenia. Kickoff is 7:00 p.m. GO EAGLES!

Boys Soccer Team Regional Champions
The boys soccer team shut out Fairfield Union 4-0 to win the Regional Championship and move on to the state final four. The Eagles lost to Tippecanoe 2-1 in the state semifinal.

Band Finishes 4th at MSBA Finals
Our marching band was one of 20 bands from Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky to qualify for the Mid-States Band Association Class AA Finals, where they finished 4th overall after a 2nd-place ranking in the prelims. Our Marching Eagles won best percussion and best music and they were the only band from Ohio to make the finals and only Catholic school in the competition. Additionally, they earned a 1-Superior rating at this past weekend’s Ohio Music Education Association State Marching Band Finals in Piqua.

Fall Drama: Alice in Wonderland
With the Little Theatre in the midst of a $400,000 remodeling project thanks to lead donor Kim Knoppe and numerous others, the annual fall drama was held at Ohio Dominican University. Shows were held last Thursday through Saturday.
