A silent and live auction, a raffle, corn hole, and giant Jenga were also part of the fun evening.
Thank you to all of our donors, volunteers, and guests for making this evening such a great success!

Junior Alex Brinkman Serving on Attorney General's Board
Junior Alex Brinkman is taking part in Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine's 2017 Teen Ambassador Board. The board provides participants with opportunities to learn about and discuss important issues facing Ohio teens today, to work together to provide feedback on key initiatives of the Attorney General's office, and to interact with government and law enforcement officials.

"We discuss how we can improve the issues and what we can do to make things better for teenagers in areas like college loans, heroin and drug use and human trafficking," said Brinkman, who has attended two meetings in Columbus and one conference call since the board began meeting in August. "At one of the meetings they brought in a woman who was human trafficked. She had a horrible story and it opened everyone's eyes about how serious of an issue human trafficking is."

The board, in its third year, consists of about 230 high school juniors and seniors from 150 schools in 50 counties who will serve a one-year term.

St. Joseph of Arimathea Induction

Bishop Watterson's St. Joseph of Arimathea Society held its induction during the All Saints' Day Mass.

The SJAS is a pallbearer society under the patronage of St Joseph of Arimathea, the man who took the body of Jesus from the cross and placed it in his own new tomb. The group, now in its fifth year, consists of 30 young men -- juniors and seniors - who have been trained and commissioned for this service of assisting at the burial of the departed.

The SJA Society has a monthly meeting to discuss issues, talk about experiences, and to pray for the faithful departed, especially those whom they have recently served.
