Sign Up for Emergency Communications
from Grace Episcopal Day School
Grace is trying something new! We are implementing a text notification system for emergency communication with parents. We will be using to send group texts to parents for emergencies only. If you would like to be included in the text notifications, please text the following: @ilovegrace to the phone number 81010. This will automatically enable you to receive any emergency communications from Grace.

Standard text messaging rates apply. You can opt out at any time. Your phone number will not be shared with or visible to other parents. No one will be able to reply to group messages, so you will not receive a million messages after the initial message is sent! You can also download the app, but it is not necessary to receive text messages from the school. If you are concerned about's privacy policies, please click here for more information .
Thank you Dr. Knight!
Thank you Dr. Knight (Drew and Peyton's mom) at Fleming Island Pet Clinic for taking such good care of Gracie Cat. Gracie made her annual trip to visit Dr. Knight this week. She received a flea treatment and had blood work completed. For being a 15 year old cat, we are happy to report that Gracie is doing great!
Mosquito Control
We want to let everyone know that we are in communication with the county and the Mosquito Control Division. They have been very responsive and are working to control the mosquitos in our area.
The Division of Mosquito Control has fogged the area at night (it covers a 2 mile radius so they don't have to be directly on the campus). We are moving into the next phase of treatment which is larvicide. They will inspect and retreat as needed.

We recommend applying insect repellent before the school day begins if mosquitos bother your child. If you choose to send insect repellent with your child, we can/will help apply it as needed.

If you'd like to learn more about the Mosquito Control Division of Clay County, you can visit their website here.
Artists of the Week
Sebastian is the Preschool Artist of the Week. He used warm colors and shape sponges to make this abstract painting. Super cool artwork Sebastian! You can view Sebastian's artwork in the front office.
This week's Artists of the Week are Ashley and Madeleine from the 5th grade. They each painted a watercolor landscape with a palm tree as the focal point. They also added table salt to their paintings for texture. Nice work ladies. Their artwork can be viewed in the front office.

This year we will offer the traditional hooded sweatshirt with the Grace Eagles logo, as well as a zip up hoodie.
  • Mark your calendars for the Fall Family Social, Friday, September 28th, from 5:30 - 7:30 PM, on Grace's playground.
