Liberty Elementary 2017

Happy Fall Eagles!

It is hard to believe the 1st quarter of the year is done and behind us.  It is so great to see everyone at school for parent/teacher conferences.  As the weather has become chillier, please remember students should not be at school before 8:15 in the morning.  It is a great idea to label jackets, hats, gloves, etc, so if they get lost, they can find their way back to their owner.  Student council will be holding a food drive beginning on November 8th, so please send in non perishable food items.  Remember, you can follow Liberty on Twitter @LibertyBSD.  Thank you for helping us make Liberty great!

Important Upcoming Dates:

--Student Council Food Drive- Begins November 8th and runs through November 29th
--Picture Re-take Wednesday, November 8th
--Veteran's Day Program - Friday, November 10th at 10AM & 2PM : 5th and 6th graders will be performing (see more details below)
-- Thursday, November 16th - Kindness Day
-- Monday, November 20 through Friday, November 24th - No school for Thanksgiving break

It's time to start planning our fabulous Liberty Love event that will take place on February 9, 2018.  Similar to last year, this event will be held at the gorgeous Barber Park Event Center. Liberty Love is Liberty's biggest fundraiser event of the year. The event is fully catered and will hold a Silent Auction and an exciting Live Auction. We can't wait for you to join us for an entertaining parent's night out that raises important funding for our children's field trips, special activities, classroom technology, school supplies and our cherished Community Kindness Campaign!

To make the event a success, we have lots of fun volunteer opportunities available for our Liberty community. Parents, friends and family are all welcome! Feel free to sign up for as many items as you would like!
  • Art Coordinator for each classroom:  Create a fun piece of art to be auctioned.  Please sign up by November 15th. Feel free to have multiple parents/people helping with your projects! Art Coordinators will be the point person for each grade and will ensure that the art item is completed by February 1st
  • Themed Baskets: We will be combing grades this year to create themed baskets - Coordinators will work together to create one themed basket for each group.
  • Volunteer opportunities for the evening of the event:  Set-up/decor, check-in, spotters, bid sheets, Grub Grab / Wine Grab attendants, check-out, clean-up, etc,...
  • Dessert Donations: We will need 23  yummy treats/cakes for the dessert auction. Desserts will need to be delivered to the event center or school by 10am on Friday, February 10.
