September 15 - Eagle Flyers Fly-Out
We will continue our regular monthly fly-outs with a stop at Grimes Field near Urbana, OH on Saturday, September 15! Their amazing pies and great aviation relics were featured in May's AOPA Pilot Magazine.
We plan to meet at Indy Exec (TYQ) at 9:30am to match planes, pilots, and passengers and take-off around 10am. Contact Pat Gaston with questions

September 29th - Hangar Hawks Meeting &
WINGS Safety Event: Tips and Tricks with ATC & Flying with the iPad Seminar
 The next meeting of our newly formed aviation enthusiast group - now called the Hangar Hawks will be Saturday, September 29th. We are really excited to be hosting our first educational event in coordination with Indianapolis ATC and the FAASTeam. We have arranged two educational sessions for that day. The first will be "Tips and Tricks from Indianapolis ATC" and the second is 'Flying with the iPad". By attending you will receive WINGS credit as well! Please invite your friends! The schedule will be as follows:
Tips with Tricks with ATC & Flying with the iPad sponsored by Hangar Hawks 8:30am - Registration and coffee 9:00am - Tips and Tricks from Indianapolis ATC: Learn how ATC and pilots can work more closely together to avoid the 6 o'clock news. We'll focus on a range of topics from local airspace issues and restrictions, to how best to keep controllers happy and get where you want to go safely. You'll also get the chance to have those burning questions answered. Bring your questions! 10:15am - Break 10:30am - Flying with the iPad: Learn advanced tricks to using your iPad in both VFR and IFR conditions. We'll learn about the latest in-cockpit weather tools available including XM and Stratus / ADS-B. We'll also focus on the latest features and tools available in the newest releases of apps like ForeFlight. 11:45am - Hangar Hawks meeting and lunch: Stick around for a meeting of the newest aviation group at Indianapolis Executive Airport, the Hangar Hawks. October 11-13 - AOPA Aviation Summit
If you are looking for the ultimate aviation education experience where you can literally meet one-on-one with leaders in aviation policy, education, and products - then consider traveling to this year's AOPA Aviation Summit. This year's Summit is packed with a myriad of new experiences - so if you've been before, this year will be different. It's in Palm Springs, CA - so it doesn't make for a bad vacation either as the fall starts to settle in. October 27 - Safe Trick or Treating
From 6pm - 8pm on Saturday, October 27th Indianapolis Executive Airport and Montgomery Aviation will host a Safe Trick or Treating event at the airport. Invite your friends and family to come out to this fun and "safe" event for kids. We still need volunteers to sign up to appear in costume and of course need lots of candy donations. HCAA Monthly Meetings
Every month the Hamilton County Airport Authority (HCAA) meets to discuss the Indianapolis Executive Airport. The public is welcome to attend. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Hamilton County Government and Judicial Center. The address is One Hamilton County Square, Noblesville, IN.
