Employment Opportunities at Immanuel

Position: Bookkeeper

Provide full accounting support to both the Church and School. Ensure timely and accurate entries of deposits, recording of transactions in the General Ledger, People, and Headmaster software. Prepare timely check disbursements in accounts payable. Oversee and implement bi-monthly payroll schedules. Verify monthly accounts balance and close each month. Prepare documents suitable to report the organization’s financial position to School and Church leadership and maintain required files.

Qualifications: Minimum two years of college, focus on accounting, or five years of experience in accounting

Hours: Fewer than 40 hours per week.

Avast Ye! Literacy Night is Coming Soon!

Tue., Oct. 23, 6:30 PM in the gym

Immanuel is celebrating literacy with a pirate themed evening of fun reading, writing, and other learning activities. The evening is designed to be especially enjoyable and enriching for children ages 3 through 8, but everyone is invited to attend! New Monday Bible Studies

Mon., 9-10:30 AM and 7-8:30 PM

Pr. Weidler is leading two new adult Bible study groups that will begin meeting on Mondays at Immanuel on Oct. 21. This study group will be exploring the Book of Mark.

Calling All Veterans

Veterans are invited to participate in Immanuel Lutheran School’s Veteran’s Day celebration chapel. Our goal is to have as many veterans in attendance as possible for this celebration in your honor. Please contact the church office to share name, rank, branch, and years of service. You are also invited to bring a hat, uniform, insignia, or memorabilia to display in the lobby. Bring items that morning or to the office during business hours.

Box Tops 4 Education

Thank you for clipping and bringing Box Tops for Education for Immanuel Lutheran School. A total of 5,249 Box Tops were collected for the October submission with a total value of $524.90. Since 2002, our school has received $17,805 from this program!

Operation Christmas Child

Immanuel's annual Operation Christmas Child Packing Party last year provided more than 600 gift boxes for needy children across the globe! To be part of this huge effort to share the love of Jesus, please donate the following items during the month indicated...or at any time! Financial donations are also much appreciated as mailing costs have risen to $9 per box. Thank you so much for helping to support this great ministry! Mark your calendar for this year's Packing Party at 3:30 PM on Fri., Nov. 9.

Mass Choir Rehearsals Begin Nov. 4

Sundays in November at 1 PM in the Music Room

Make your personal preparation for our Savior’s birth even more special by helping others do the same. Be part of the mass choir that presents the annual Service of Lessons and Carols this year on Sat., Dec. 1. Join regular rehearsals on Thu., at 7 PM and/or Sun. afternoons at 1 PM. Questions?
