Motorists can expect a new traffic pattern at Eagle Road and Idaho Highway 44 (ID-44) starting this Thursday night.
Please stay alert as you drive through the intersection because lanes will be shifted to allow ITD crews room to work on the pedestrian islands at each corner or the intersection.
Two through lanes of traffic will remain open during the day.
This phase will allow the contractor to safely prepare for additional traffic lanes as construction of the widened, signalized intersection continues.
Starting Thursday, June 3 after 10 p.m., motorists can expect:
- Intermittent closures of free-running right turns overnight. (Right-turning traffic will still be permitted).
- New traffic patterns for free-running right turns during daytime hours.
- Changing traffic patterns for pedestrians during night-time hours.
The project team encourages all travelers to slow down and watch for crews working in the area. Please watch for orange barrels, cones, and signage indicating traffic shifts in the work zone.
