Head of School Update

A Mighty Fortress is our God

By Head of School Dr. Michael Dewey

Inspired by the title of the 2025–2026 Passages yearbook, I’d like to take 5 minutes of your time to reflect upon the past five years of our school’s history. At times, it may seem hard to believe that Evergreen is just five years young. It is easy to look at our school and get the impression that we’ve been at this for much longer. After all, we finished this school year with 197 students, 111 separate sections of courses, 58 colleges and universities that offered acceptances to this year’s class, 53 juniors (our largest class ever), 50 graduates, 48 faculty and staff, 30 elective courses, 17 clubs, 15 sports teams, 14 AP classes, 3 Dual Enrollment classes, and 1 State Championship.

Those numbers, while impressive, don’t capture the full story. Those 197 students include young men and women who have come to ECS precisely because of the challenge it offers. They have chosen a rigorous path of study because they know that to live for Christ in today’s world it takes a faith that is battle tested. Those 50 graduates include students who were recruited by top universities and colleges across our nation (three of them being accepted to William & Mary this year). In just three years of commencement ceremonies, a total of 110 colleges and universities have offered enrollment to our 106 graduates. Yes, it has a great deal to do with how well our students perform academically. Those 14 AP classes have established a program that was awarded the highest level of recognition by the College Board—the Platinum AP Honor Roll. But I believe that colleges want our students and ROTC wants our students because of the caliber and character of our students.

So, why have we been able to accomplish so much in so little time? The only answer I think appropriate, is one given by Martin Luther in 1529 when he penned the words to one of the greatest hymns in Church history: A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.

God not only employs all of the power of Heaven in fighting for us, but he ensures that the victory is forever kept. Hence, the title of this great hymn: A Mighty Fortress Is Our God. The message should be clear—we have not accomplished anything. All the glory is God’s! The full story of Evergreen is God’s story.

Eagle Happenings

Baccalaureate

The morning before graduation, the Class of 2026 gathered in the Eagle Center with family and faculty for a time of prayer, praise, and personal reflection. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal, a video montage featuring baby pictures of each senior, and the opportunity for parents and staff to pray over our graduates and encourage them as they face this significant tradition in their lives. Dr. Dewey spoke on the Lord’s Prayer in Luke 11, challenging each student to see prayer as one of the most vital aspects of their life going forward. Dr. Dewey reminded the students, “You cannot follow Christ, live with biblical conviction, stand up against all the things we have been working to prepare you to stand up against, without prayer.” As we have done the last three years, each senior was gifted with a copy of Andrew Murray’s classic With Christ in the School of Prayer. The senior members of our Chapel Worship Band capped off the morning by leading the gathering in an extended time of worship. It is evident that these students love the Lord.

Christian baccalaureate services were once a common part of the final days of a student’s high school and college career, both in public and private schools. The tradition is believed to have originated at Oxford University in 1432, with the earliest known baccalaureate in the United States being held at Princeton University in 1760. They have become increasingly rare today, largely due to the push to keep Christian religious influences out of public institutions. As a faith-based school, it was important for us to establish this tradition and to carry it on with each graduating class.

Graduation

On May 22, an overflowing crowd gathered at Christian Fellowship Church for Evergreen’s third annual commencement for the Class of 2026. The event was a celebration of all that God has done in the lives of our graduates, and a commissioning for them to go forth and live boldly for Christ. The Class of 2026 was the largest graduating class in ECS history, with 50 graduates who will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the many student and parent volunteers of the Class of 2027 for helping decorate the facility, serve refreshments, and ensure that our seniors were provided a truly memorable graduation.

The Honorable Steven C. Preston delivered a challenging message to our graduates. Using his own life as an illustration, he acknowledged, “When I graduated from high school almost 50 years ago, I didn't know what the possibilities were. And now looking back at my journey, I can see very clearly how God crafted my life every step of the way, weaving together my education, my relationships, my gifts, and my passions to write a story that I would have never imagined.” Pointing to scripture he reminded each student that they can trust God for their future, even when it seems uncertain. “The promise for every one of you whose life is hidden in Christ,” declared Preston, “is that you can depend on him…trust your good father for the things he tells us in his Word, that he knows the plans he has for you, plans for a future and a hope, and that we are his workmanship created in Christ to do good works, which he, by the way, prepared in advance for you to do.”

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

If you were unable to attend commencement, you may watch the complete program via our YouTube Channel.

Senior Participants

Each year, members of the senior class are selected to represent their fellow classmates at graduation. Andrew Heckman began our program by reading the class scripture and Jafet Valencia offered a prayer of dedication for the Class of 2026.Three students were asked to speak on the school’s instructional distinctives, with Mila Isic addressing Christian Scholarship, Brenna Schermerhorn addressing Christian Leadership, and Landon Stover addressing Christian Service. In addition to these senior participants, the Class of 2026 personally selected two members of the Class of 2027 to serve as junior marshals for commencement: Joshua O. and Audrey K.

School Trip to Spain and Portugal

In what we hope will be an annual tradition, a group of ECS parents and students had the wonderful opportunity of touring historical sites on our first ever international school field trip. The event was organized and led by Mrs. Kristin Pushak, our outstanding senior Government teacher. She is already thinking about where we might go next year! The following is her recap of this incredible experience.

“Traveling through Spain and Portugal with our Evergreen Christian School students was an unforgettable experience. Every day provided opportunities to bring history, culture, and language to life in ways that simply aren’t possible in a classroom. From exploring the colorful, tiled streets of Lisbon to experiencing the rich traditions of Sevilla, and the iconic landmarks of Madrid, our students gained a deeper understanding of western civilization and world history while creating lasting memories and friendships.

One of the most meaningful aspects of the trip was watching our students live out their Christian faith in such a natural and genuine way. On their own initiative, they gathered daily for morning Bible studies, intentionally starting their days together in God’s Word and reflecting how their faith applied to what they were seeing, experiencing, and discussing throughout the trip. Our students also had the unique opportunity to connect with students from high schools across the country who were traveling alongside us. It was especially powerful to see our students recognize the relevance of Evergreen’s Essential Questions Project. The essential questions we wrestle with at school naturally emerged in conversations with our fellow travelers, giving students the opportunity to think deeply, listen to different perspectives, articulate their own beliefs, and apply what they’ve learned far beyond the classroom.

We will never forget the sunset over the Atlantic in Portugal’s picturesque Algarve, or the passionate flamenco dancers pouring themselves into one of Spain’s most iconic traditions, viewing Velazquez’s Las Meninas in Museo Nacional del Prado, or wandering through Cordoba’s Mezquita. We are deeply grateful for God’s provision and goodness, and the opportunity to travel throughout beautiful Spain and Portugal.”

Academic Excellence

An Award-Winning Year

While graduation may be the culminating event of the academic calendar, our year-end awards assembly is a close second. Students, faculty, and family members packed the Eagle Center to honor the achievements, growth, and God-given talents of our students. The assembly was far more than just a celebration of academic and extracurricular excellence—it allowed everyone to give thanks for how God has worked in the hearts and lives of our students throughout the year. While it is impossible to highlight every award that was presented, the achievements below deserve special recognition:

Perfect Attendance
It may be hard to believe, but there were a handful of students who managed to make it to school every day this year. Either these teenagers really love school, or their parents did a great job of getting them out of bed each morning.

Congratulations to Danica A., Isaiah B., Chase M., Caleb M., and Petra S. Dr. Dewey loves this award so much that each recipient received a gift card.

The Silver Eagle Award

This is a brand-new award for us at Evergreen, presented to the female and male student athlete, who in addition to being an outstanding athlete, have contributed to the overall school program through clubs, academics, class discussions, and building a Christ-centered community. Both of the students listed below led the way in building community and culture at Evergreen and will be missed.

Isabel Offman has not only been a three-sport athlete at the school but has been an invaluable promoter of our school by taking countless pictures of school events, managing our athletics social media, and being a leader in class discussions. Izzy has a deep knowledge of God’s Word, a vibrant faith in Christ, and was always among the first to welcome new students to our school.

Nathaniel Thomas has been a catalyst for Christ and for school spirit during his time at Evergreen through his involvement in multiple sports teams, his leadership through student government, his engagement in class discussions, or his indispensable role as the voice of ECS as the PA announcer at volleyball and basketball games.

Neal C. Nichols Award for Entrepreneurial Leadership

Neal C. Nichols Excellence in Christian Entrepreneurial Leadership Award is presented annually to a graduating Evergreen Christian School senior. Neal is a semi-retired local businessperson who founded Red Top Cab of Alexandria in 1964, building it into a multi-million-dollar company which now includes Yellow Cab of Fairfax and Falls Church. He is an emeritus member of Evergreen’s Board of Directors and has been a faithful supporter of ECS since our beginning, as well as numerous other Christian organizations through the Neal C. Nichols Foundation.

Criteria for this award includes:

  • having shown a commitment to following the teachings of Christ in setting the course for their undertakings;
  • having initiative in creating new ventures and demonstrating persistence during challenging times;
  • maintaining strong family bonds;
  • being generous with their time and encouraging words;
  • having a loving heart for all; and
  • being ever mindful of the great blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon them.

This year’s Neal C. Nichols Entrepreneurial Leadership Award was presented to Evan Britton. In addition to having developed our current carpool software system three years ago (DismissGuard), Evan has been hard at work building a school and learning management program that will compete against the established players in the market (e.g. Blackbaud, Veracross, Canvas, and FACTS) by offering school communities a more user-friendly product.

Honor Roll 2025-2026

At the end of each semester, ECS awards honors for students who meet the following requirements for their overall average: Highest Honors: 97.00 – 100% overall average; High Honors: 94.50 – 96.99% overall average; Honors: 92.00 – 94.49% overall average.

We were honored to recognize 95 students in the following categories: Semester 2 Highest Honor Roll; Semester 2 High Honor Roll; Semester 2 Honor Roll.

In addition, the Head of School Honor Roll is awarded to students who have finished the year with a 4.0 or higher in every class. Dr. Dewey was proud to award 52 students this honor for the 2025–2026 school year.

AP Success Continues

This year, we saw our highest number of students taking Advanced Placement courses at Evergreen—a total of 94 students enrolled in 13 AP classes. Students took a total of 202 exams in May, with 20% of them achieving a perfect score of 5 on at least one exam, and another 20% achieving a score of 4. A total of 72 of our students achieved a passing score of 3 or higher, beating last year’s record of 68, and giving us a 77% pass rate overall.

Perfect Scores: Two of our students achieved a perfect score on every exam they took this year—Noah V., Class of 2027, and Landon Stover, Class of 2026. Landon holds the distinct honor of having achieved a perfect score on every AP exam he took in his four years at ECS!

Biblical Values

Senior Chapel

Our last chapel of the school year was led by our graduating seniors. Not only did our seniors lead worship, but they shared powerful testimonies and words of advice to the rest of the student body. The Senior Class President Nathaniel Thomas gave his final address, encouraging everyone to take advantage of their time at ECS by allowing Christ to lead them.

C.S. Lewis Prize Winners Announced

Learning how to articulate your faith and defend it winsomely against contemporary critics is priceless. That is why we are committed to raising up young Christian leaders who are able to do just that. Of course, delivering the best overall senior thesis and oral defense is something we can put a price on—$500 to be exact.

The C.S. Lewis Institute’s Prize for Excellence in Christian Apologetics is presented each year to the student who provided the best overall thesis and oral defense as determined by panel members. In addition to receiving a framed certificate, this student receives a $500 cash prize that can be used to further prepare themselves to live for Christ.

As we mentioned in our May Eagle’s View, we had so many impressive oral defenses that we asked ten students to come back for an additional round of questioning. This year’s finalists were Evan Britton, Savannah Chase, Brodie FitzGerald, Mila Isic, Kayden Johnson, Grace Madsen, Brenna Schermerhorn, Landon Stover, Kristie Tan, and Jafet Valencia. These students were recognized at our end-of-year awards assembly, but the actual winner was not announced until graduation.

Evergreen is proud to recognize Savannah Chase and Grace Madsen as this year’s recipients of the C.S. Lewis Institute’s Prize. And don’t worry, thanks to a generous donation from our student government, the cash prize did not need to be split—both winners walked away with $500 each.

A Biblical Approach to Art

Evergreen Christian Summer Institute (ECSi) introduced a new course to our elective offerings. Arts & Aesthetics is a credited semester course that was offered in an online intensive format this June and July.

Based upon the biblical understanding that mankind occupies a unique position in God’s creation as the imago dei and is the only participant in creation who has been given creative capacities, the course focuses on how the Bible illuminates the notion of beauty and sanctions the artistic enterprise. By understanding that God is the origin of truth, beauty, and goodness, and that his scriptures provide instruction as to their artistic application, students are taught to develop an apologetic that quantifies the form and validates the content of fine art.

Students are provided tools that empower them to recognize and analyze the elements of various mediums of art, assessing what makes them good or bad, and actively engaging the current culture through informed critiques and discussions. Disappointed you missed this amazing course? Don’t worry, it will continue to be offered each summer.

If you are curious about the class, please follow this link to view a short montage of several different presentations: Art & Aesthetics at Evergreen Christian School

Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Dewey

This May, Mr. Dewey officially became Dr. Dewey, graduating with his PhD in Christian Philosophy from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. It may have taken him ten years to finish, but we are extremely proud of him. We are blessed to have a head of school with formal training and expertise in theology, Christian philosophy, and ethics, guiding the development of our program.

Dr. Dewey’s published dissertation, Modified Libertarianism: An Analysis of Eleonore Stump’s Interpretation of Augustinian Freedom, is now a part of our library collection. While it clocks in at over 300 pages and is a bit on the technical side, it certainly sounds like an interesting read.

Kingdom Impact

Leadership Award & Appointments

The mission of Evergreen Christian School is to partner with Christian families to provide an academically rigorous high school education, fully committed to the application of God’s Word to all aspects of teaching, learning, and living with the goal of preparing leaders who will impact the world for Christ.

We are pleased to announce the recipients of these leadership awards:

The Girl Scouts' Gold Award is the highest achievement in Girl Scouts. It culminates with a requirement to lead a sustainable project that creates a lasting impact in the community or beyond. Recipients demonstrate exceptional leadership, organization, and commitment by identifying a meaningful issue and developing a solution that produces measurable change.  Congratulations to Bee Yesawich, Class of 2026, who earned this remarkable distinction.

The George C. Marshall International Center Ethical Leadership Conference and the Camp Marshall Program bring together emerging leaders committed to integrity, service, and principled decision-making. Through collaboration, mentorship, and leadership development, these programs inspire the next generation to lead with character and purpose. This year, Katelynn L. and Parker E. are ECS representatives to the Ethical Leadership Conference, and Hudson C. will represent ECS at Camp Marshall.

Each year, the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary sponsor the Boys State and Girls State programs.

These programs are open to high school juniors and are designed to teach them about government at the local and state levels through active participation in the creation of a mythical 51st state. Interested juniors must go through an application process here at ECS.

This year we are pleased to announce that the following students have been chosen to represent Evergreen Christian School at Girls & Boys State:

Boys State: Ethan E.

Girls State: Dakota H.

College & Career

Scholarships Aplenty

Dr. McCurdy has been hard at work helping students navigate how to apply and qualify for various scholarships and awards. Congratulations to the following students who were recognized at the end of the year for these significant honors:

Army ROTC Scholarships are awarded to students demonstrating academic excellence, leadership potential, physical fitness, and commitment to service. This prestigious scholarship supports up to four years of college education while preparing recipients to become officers in the United States Army. This year, retired Lieutenant Colonel Frank Licameli, Director of Recruiting Operations at the Patriot Battalion at George Mason University, visited ECS to present these three-year, full-tuition scholarship awards to Brodie Fitzgerald and Sean Burke.

The Chancellor's Award is offered by Marymount University in the amount of $20,000/year for four years. This year, we are pleased to announce that Audrey Brownstein was awarded this prestigious scholarship.

The Liberty University Valedictorian Scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and leadership throughout high school. This prestigious scholarship, which covers tuition for four years, recognizes dedication, excellence, and a commitment to future success. Congratulations to Landon Stover for earning this outstanding honor.

The National Honor Society Scholarship Award recognizes outstanding academic achievement, character, and commitment.

Congratulations to Grace Madsen and Evan Britton for being awarded this scholarship in the amount of $2,500 each.

For more than 100 years, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in conjunction with high schools around the world, has awarded The Rensselaer Medal Award for Academic Achievement in Math and Science to promising secondary school students who have distinguished themselves in mathematics and science. The Medal was first presented in 1916 with two purposes: to recognize the superlative academic achievement of young men and women, and to motivate students toward careers in science, engineering, and technology.

With a value of $40,000 per year, this scholarship is guaranteed for four years (five years for the B.Arch. program) for each Medalist who is accepted and enrolls at Rensselaer. This year, we are honored to announce that Riley R. received the Rensselaer Medal Award for Academic Achievement in Mathematics and Science.

College Advising Office Hard at Work

If you think summertime is vacation time, then you don’t understand how committed we are to getting our students ready for college. Two sessions of application bootcamps are underway via ECSi and going very well. They will culminate in participating seniors having a completed personal essay and college specific essays before the rush of fall semester begins.

This summer, the College Advising Office is hard at work to complete approval for three new dual enrollment classes with Colorado Christian University:  microeconomics, US History, and College Algebra.

If that’s not enough, Dr. McCurdy is working on a certification in College Counseling and Academic Planning which she expects to complete this August. The program requires her to spend quite a few hours accumulating firsthand experience as part of a college admission review team. The result will be a College Advising program that is highly trained and even more equipped to navigate our students through the college application process.

Alumnus Speaks at Loudoun County Ceremony

Nathaniel Thomas, Class of 2026, was given the opportunity to speak at the Loudoun Awakening - Loudoun County 250 Rededication to God Ceremony held at the historic Leesburg Courthouse Grounds. Despite the intense heat, a large number of community members, local church members, pastors, ministry leaders and faith leaders came together to humbly rededicate Loudoun County, Virginia and our nation to God.

Nathaniel read the rededication address that dedicated Loudoun County to Christ. And Dr. Ross spoke on the importance of this rededication and why it matters.

Nathaniel says, "I am grateful that I was able to give the address, and spread the gospel to the people around me. And, I just happened to be wearing an ECS polo while speaking."

Double Degrees

It is one thing to earn a college degree after graduating from high school, quite another to earn a degree at the same time you are receiving your high school diploma. Two of our newest alumni did just that. They earned an associate's degree from Liberty University this past May.

We are very proud of both Isabel Offman and Luke Archer, who in addition to meeting all the requirements to graduate from Evergreen, also met the requirements for a college degree from Liberty University. This means that at the same time these students were attending classes at ECS, they were also using their free time to take classes at Liberty. And of course, that officially means they are the first ECS alums to earn the distinction of being a college graduate. The head start on college is enabling Izzy to pursue two bachelor’s degrees at Liberty. She is currently pursuing a BS in Exercise Science with a minor in photography, and BEd in education.

Campus Life

Senior Mural and Spirit Rock

Each year, our senior class donates a gift to the school representing the legacy they are leaving behind. The Class of 2026 commissioned an original work of art painted by ECS alumni parent Juliana Morris which fills the wall of the student lunchroom. The mural features Colossians 2:6–7: “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” It also features the signatures of every member of the Class of 2026.

And if their signatures were not enough, our graduates also painted the school’s Spirit Rock, leaving their handprints for all to see.

Thank you, Class of 2026.

Prom

This year’s Prom had a decidedly “magical” theme: A Night Under the Lantern Light. Students gathered at the 1757 Golf Club in Dulles for an evening of dancing, food, photos, and fun.

The students looked amazing in their tuxedos and evening gowns, with everyone having a wonderful time.

There was no sign of anyone named “Flynn” at Prom, but commemorative frying pans were provided to each student just in case.

ECC Elections

The end of the school year not only marks the conclusion of the current term for our student government, but it is also campaign season for the 2026–2027 term. The candidates blanketed the campus with campaign posters and delivered compelling speeches on why they were the best choice to represent the student body.

Congratulations to all the candidates, and especially those that will officially serve as officers on the Evergreen Christian Council. We are excited to see what each officer brings to the table in the coming year as they lead their classmates in academics, school culture, and extracurricular activities.

Join me in welcoming the 2026–2027 ECC officers:

ECS All Stars

PTO_Award.jpg_p1.jpg_p1.jpg

We have said it before, and we will say it again––ECS has the best PTO in Northern Virginia!

The school’s faculty and staff wrapped up the year being treated like all stars, as part of the PTO’s annual year-end teacher and staff appreciation week. It was an amazing week that featured a popcorn bar, a Cinco de Mayo lunch, custom smoothies, snack deliveries, and a Mediterranean lunch to cap off the week.

The biggest surprises were the All-Star posters hanging on the second floor at the start of the week and the trophy presentations voted on by our amazing students on the final day. Superlative awards, such as the “Knows Everyone’s Name” award presented to our school security officer Mr. Soria and the “Powered Entirely by Coffee” award to our senior English teacher Mrs. Pipkin, were handed out along with baskets stuffed with wonderful gifts and treats that were raffled off.

We are so blessed to have such loving and supportive parents.

Fine Arts

Theater Production

This year’s spring theater production was an adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic American novel, Little Women.

Set against the backdrop of the American Civil War, the semi-autobiographical story follows the lives, loves, and struggles of the four March sisters—Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy—as they grow from childhood into womanhood in New England.

Performances were held over two nights at The Worship Center in Leesburg, with a special matinee performance on the last day. Special thanks to ECS parent Dr. Justin Adams for allowing us to use his church for this amazing event.

The student actors and actresses provided compelling performances of these timeless characters, and Mr. Lewis Bliss once again proved himself a master teacher and director!

Permanent Collection Inductees

Each year, the school selects student-created works of art to be permanently displayed at the school. Not only is this a tremendous honor for the students selected, but the entire school community will enjoy these pieces as they walk our halls. With all the talented young artists at ECS, we are excited to see these five new additions to our growing collection. The following compositions have been selected for the 2026 permanent collection at Evergreen Christian School.

Yearbook Distribution

Yearbook students worked diligently all year documenting every event, class, and milestone at ECS. This was no small undertaking, as students had to take photos, interview students and teachers, design page layouts, write text, and meet numerous deadlines in order to complete the yearbook for distribution before summer break.

While the school annual is forever known as Passages, the fifth ever edition was aptly titled "Take 5." The theme was aimed at challenging students to reflect back on the past five years of our school’s existence to see just how far we have come.

Our students were eager to see the finished product and spent the afternoon together looking over the books, collecting signatures, and eating ice cream supplied by our incredible PTO.

Spring Senior Night

With the conclusion of the spring sports season comes the sad realization that for our senior athletes this is the last time we get to see them suiting up for the Eagles. We honor these young men and women for the legacy they leave behind and the Christlike way they conducted themselves on the field of play. Each one was recognized before the home soccer game on Thursday, May 7, standing proudly by their parents at mid-field. Each senior received a banner that was hung in the gym over the entire spring season thanks to the generosity of one of our very own ECS families. Special thanks to moms and dads who allowed us the pleasure of seeing these students develop over the past four years. We will miss all of you.

Spring Sports Award Ceremony

We capped off the spring sports seasons on Tuesday, May 26 with an evening of celebration that highlighted all of the athletes and coaches. Not only were victories and records celebrated, but coaches spoke on the lessons of perseverance, humility, and faith that they have seen throughout the year. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23).

While the Award for Most Improved Player and Most Valuable Player pertain to athletic skill, the Eagle Award encompasses far more—these are students who truly epitomize the mission and values of ECS both on and off the field of play. Congratulations to all these student-athletes, and the coaches who helped develop them over the course of the season.

ECS Athletic Hall of Fame

Thanks to the generosity of one of our Evergreen Christian School families, we have been able to begin a new tradition at ECS—the Evergreen Athletic Hall of Fame.

This summer, the north wall in the Eagle Center is receiving a makeover and will soon have framed photos of our 2026 Hall of Fame inductees. These are standout athletes who have made significant contributions to the athletic program at Evergreen, either through their commitment to building multiple sports programs or by achieving a statistical milestone.

We will continue to add to the Hall of Fame wall in the coming years as ECS student athletes continue to thrive in their sports and possibly go on to play at the next level. The wall will also highlight team photos of every sports team that we've offered at ECS.

Academic Excellence | Biblical Values | Kingdom Impact

ECS Mission: Evergreen Christian School partners with Christian families to provide an academically rigorous high school education, fully committed to the application of God’s Word to all aspects of teaching, learning, and living with the goal of preparing leaders who will impact the world for Christ.

ECS Vision: Answering the call to raise up the next generation of faithful Christian leaders, Evergreen Christian School endeavors to ground students in the wisdom of God’s Word, teaching them to integrate the biblical worldview into all aspects of life and study. Our program seeks to develop an authentic faith in Christ, where graduates are equipped with the tools to discern right from wrong and truth from falsity, challenged to think redemptively about the most pressing issues of our day, and inspired to live courageously for Christ wherever He calls them to serve.

ECS School Verse: But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint (Isaiah 40:31).
