Residents are invited to help shape the future of the Eaglecrest neighbourhood by participating in the Eaglecrest Neighbourhood Planning Survey. The survey is open from March 10 to March 22 and available online and at Town Hall.
This survey gathers community input on neighbourhood-scale planning priorities, including how people travel through the area, how parks and green spaces connect, and how future growth can complement the existing character of the community.
The Town is also seeking feedback on parcel-specific planning regarding the Town-owned land west of Country Club Drive, which is planned to be offered for sale later in 2026. This feedback will help guide future development.
Survey feedback will help shape the Preliminary Eaglecrest Neighbourhood Plan, which will help Council and staff in making future planning and land sale decisions that reflect community input.
Background
The Eaglecrest Golf Course Lands were purchased by the Town in 2025, following a period of public input. The purchase enables approximately 40 percent of the property (about 40 acres) to be preserved as forested parkland with walking trails and habitat restoration. The remaining lands will accommodate a redesigned nine-hole golf course and thoughtfully planned housing areas intended to help meet community needs while respecting the character of the neighbourhood and surrounding environment.
