"Speak"

1 Corinthians 2:13 (NIV) This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

1 Corinthians 2:13 (KJV) Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1 Corinthians 2:13 (ESV) And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.

1 Corinthians 2:13 (NLT2) When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.

Speak: To utter words or articulate sounds, as human beings; to express thoughts by words. Children learn to speak at an early age. To utter a speech, discourse or harangue; to utter thoughts in a public assembly. To exhibit; to make known. To express silently or by signs.  To communicate; as, to speak peace to the soul.

Greek: laleo [lal-eh’-o] = speak [244], say [15], tell [12], talk [11], preach [6], utter [4]. Vine’s Words= say, speak, talk, tell, utter. prolonged form of an otherwise obsolete verb; to talk, i.e. utter words: - preach, say, speak (after), talk, tell, utter. Compare (lego). Strong's Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Usage Notes: for which SAY, No. 2, is used several times in 1 Cor. 14; the command prohibiting women from speaking in a church gathering, 1 Cor. 14:34, 35, is regarded by some as an injunction against chattering, a meaning which is absent from the use of the verb everywhere else in the NT; it is to be understood in the same sense as in 1 Cor. 14:2, 3-6, 9, 11, 13, 18, 19, 21, 23, 27-29, 39. Vine's Expository Dictionary of Old Testament and New Testament Words.

When this passage says ‘which things’, it is talking about vs. 12 from the previous teaching and it is making reference to the blessings and promises of the Word and in this case, the spiritual nature of the Word. It is not a secret to most Christians that there is a great deal of talk about the healing world that Jesus walked in, demonstrated and talked [speak] often about. It clearly states in the Old and the New Testament that Healing is available to those who believe and are willing to receive by faith the manifestation of these amazing benefits. Psalm 103:2-3 (AMP) Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits— 3 Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases.

My question in this whole menagerie of doubts is, just exactly when did this scripture stop or what dispensation of time did the Holy Ghost change His mind. Malachi 3:6 (NLT2) “I am the LORD, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed. When God says He forgives all your sins, and even worse than that, iniquities, this is exactly what He means. When He says He heals all your diseases[sicknesses], this is exactly what He means.

You remember the discourse of the syro-Phoenician woman whose daughter had a devil [demon] and wanted Jesus to cast him out and reluctantly Jesus resisted. But when the lady emphatically stated that even the dogs got the crumbs from under the table, Jesus marveled at her faith and granted her the persistent request. She was dogged about getting relief for someone she dearly loved, but it was not her love for her daughter but the overwhelming faith that presented to her the request that was persistent. Mark 7:29 (KJV) And he said unto her, for this saying [speaking] go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.

This is a shortcoming in the body of Christ and it’s receiving the supernatural from our Lord. We are in a much greater position than this woman for we are children, yet person after person suffers and many die, because of not knowing what the Father desires, not standing in faith and not believing till the manifestation shows up. We must speak it out and declare, ‘Let God be true and every man a liar’.  Romans 3:4 (AMP) By no means [do not forbid]! Let God be found true though every human being is false and a liar, as it is written, That You may be justified and shown to be upright in what You say, and prevail when You are judged [by sinful men].
