To practice giving instruction.
Greek: Didaktos [did-ak-tos’] = which (one) teacheth [2], taught [1]. from (didasko); (subject) instructed or (object) communicated by teaching: - taught, which...teacheth. Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Usage Notes: Primarily "what can be taught," then, "taught," is used (a) of persons, John 6:45; (b) of things, 1 Cor. 2:13 (twice), "(not in words which man's wisdom) teacheth, (but which the Spirit) teacheth," lit., "(not in words) taught (of man's wisdom, but) taught (of the Spirit). Vine's Expository Dictionary of Old Testament and New Testament Words.
This passage is comparing the idea of man teaching and the Holy Spirit teaching and the two are quite different, except for the idea that God uses man, but it is not to come from the intellect, but the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:14 (NKJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 2 Peter 1:21 (KJV) For the prophecy [speaking forth/teaching] came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
This idea gets lost in the lack of knowledge of those who have educated themselves to the point whereby they have ruled out the main theme of the Christian life and that is being led by the Spirit of God and not the intellect of man.
It would be like a man studying the carpenter trade and then teaching a class to the mature carpenter on the insights of doing carpentry. That would not ‘fly’ in the life of the carpenters of which I know and have known. When I was in my years in business school at Miami University, it was always an open joke about the professors who spoke to us as if they had some special knowledge about a thing because they had a ‘Dr.’ in front of their name. Many of the kids I had become friends with were from a business family of some sort and had been schooled by their fathers or other close relatives throughout their childhood. They already had a working knowledge of how one runs a business and often the teacher would say, ‘the key to success in business is not what comes from school, but from the conditioning of the heart’. I was not even sure of this discourse but as I moved into being in business on my own, this thought came alive to me and has been the contributing factor in running and operating the things my business requires.
I cannot overemphasize to my ‘Warrior Class’ and ‘A Businessman’s Perspective’, the importance of developing a working relationship with the Holy Spirit and know what the Word has to say about a thing, and rely on the Spirit of God to teach how to engage the ideas written to the world and demonstrate to all that not only is He the Creator of all but is the Lord of all of those who will surrender to His leadership. He is not the God of this world, satan is but this is coming to a very quick end as God the Father is raising up Holy Ghost teachers who are giving men insight into His Power and how we are to dominate satan and his perverted crowd. I do not know if you recognize it yet, but we are in the beginning stages of the greatest revival man has ever seen or experienced. Revivals, despite everyone’s griping and complaining, have always occurred in the middle of some of the toughest times in history. I learned about this running a construction business for 54 years, and you my readers get all the benefits. Thanks for tuning in.
