Spirit: Primarily, wind; air in motion; hence, breath. All bodies have spirits and pneumatical parts within them. Something eminently pure and refined. There seems to be a lot of different uses of this power word pneuma but the one that stands above the crowd is the idea of the power coming from an almighty God that has the discipline to control heavens, the earth, the solar system as we know it, and the one left out is man. He cannot control man unless man will be in agreement with the Spirit and is willing to subordinate himself to Him. Romans 8:14 (KJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. In other words, it is the willingness of the individual to listen to, take note of, meditate on, study daily and then to obey the dictates of the direction of the Holy Spirit. Then and only then will a man [male/female] be able to have good success and be able to be free, healed and delivered from all the world must throw at us.
Man cannot live without the direction of the Holy Spirit for without it, he will self-destruct and often the life of all who are around him. Only the Spirit of God will give to man the discipline to do what he knows he needs to do and give him the power to do so. Without man’s willingness to surrender to the direction of the Spirit, he will crash and burn. I have seen this so many times. Life is difficult enough with the Holy Spirit, can you even image the world and all that it deals with daily. It is difficult to get a good night’s sleep without having the peace of God that passes all understanding and this is important for life itself. Galatians 6:16 (AMP) Peace and mercy be upon all who walk by this rule [who discipline themselves and regulate their lives by this principle], even upon the [true] Israel of God! Let the Holy Spirit give life and peace to you for it is in your power to do so.
