I have been spending some time in the Rocky Mountains and the excitement to me is ever and upward. As we were traveling from Silverton, an old mining town in southwest Colorado, to Ouray, another old mining town, we were stopped at Red Mountain Pass for a construction project putting new culverts from the mountain side to the drop offside to relieve the highway of the pressures of water run off during the spring melt.
They closed the highway from 3pm to 5:30 pm and there was nowhere else to travel. We were the third car stopped so we just missed the pass through. A 63-year-old lady from the truck in front of us came back to our Jeep and began a conversation with me and my friend. As in most of my conversations, at some point I move it over to talking concerning the Lord and His blessings in my life.
She told a story about her younger sister and that at a much younger age, she had a vision of seeing her being shot and killed. She spoke to us that she attempted to tell her grandmother about the dream and her grandmother paid no attention and sure enough, her sister several years later was shot and killed.
Upon hearing this tragic death of her sister, I attempted to explain about the idea of generational curses and that words can be spoken over people and this opens the door to demonic activity and the demons are very obliging to carry out the deeds.
As I was speaking these words, she interrupted me and changed the subject and I was unable to continue teaching her about this demonic activity even though this occurred many years ago. A few moments later I interrupted her and asked if she was born again and believed in the Savior. Again, the answer was quite brief and as a quick answer, she simply agreed with my question with a solid ‘yep’ and continued speaking to us.
We know from scripture the importance of knowing God and His Word as it keeps us from all kinds of harm and shortcomings. Hosea 4:6 (NLT2) My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.
Hosea 4:6 (MSG) My people are ruined because they don't know what's right or true. Because you've turned your back on knowledge, I've turned my back on you priests. Because you refuse to recognize the revelation of God, I'm no longer recognizing your children. I want to really emphasize the importance of the beginning of this powerful Word as it speaks to us about the condition of the church. ‘My People’ is an emphatic phrase and has the importance attached to it that is hidden from the world but should not be from the Church. Sadly, the church has fallen into a state of not knowing the power of God and the exousia power that He has granted to us to take control and authority over our lives where Psalms 91 is concerned.
These dreams are not to be taken lightly, and we should understand that they are given for a very specific purpose and must be dealt with by Spiritual folks who know and comprehend the hidden things of God and why they have been given to the Church.
