God promises a long life if we meet certain criteria. Vs 9 of the 91st Psalm gives us the key. If you make the Most High your dwelling even the Lord who is your refuge. Dwelling here denotes a place where you spend a great deal of your time or a place where a person lives.

Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.
The new covenant states that “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” He is not talking about faith to get born again, that comes as a gift to believe the grace God has bestowed on us. The faith here is that which comes to us to believe what He says about us and the strength or use of that faith to carry out what He has said to us. The scriptures state that He bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases, that you are more than a conqueror, that He always causes you to triumph, and speak to a mountain and it will be removed. This is the kind of thing the Psalmist is declaring in the 91st Psalm. God wants you to become a mighty warrior in the Kingdom of God and fulfill your entire destiny for Him. He wants nothing left out but a complete fulfillment of your life as a believer. Joy unspeakable and full of glory, winning at everything you put your hands to, especially your attitude. Never looking back, for yesterday gives us no time to accomplish the important things in life.
If we can get to this place, we will have long life, and God will satisfy us all with long lives. Remember, Christ the Word [John 1:1] is living inside of us to will and to do of His good pleasure. So, what is the problem here? It’s a matter of: do you believe this? As you press in on the Word, the faith to walk out this salvation becomes stronger and soon you will be doing what the Psalmist has declared. Let’s live long and be totally fulfilled in every endeavor. Start by hiding God’s Word in your heart and discover who you are in Christ Jesus. Find out what already is yours and have confidence to do exploits in His name. He is waiting!!
