This word ‘in’ is translated a myriad of ways in the Bible, but the most usage is the preposition representing location. It is important to note that the ‘in’ is used for the location of the spirit of man and the Spirit of God. Only the Spirit of God knows the things of God, and it clearly states that no man knoweth the things of God except the spirit of God. This is the sole purpose for spending time with the Word of God for the Bible is just that. We spend hours a week reading the words of other men be it a novel, a newspaper, a periodical, a letter or social media and all that is written there-in. But those things are of no avail as they do not promise life and life more abundantly.
In short, the way you get to know what is in God’s heart is to read his messages to us and to take the time to study them to the point that you understand it more fully. After this, it is a matter of committing the things you’ve learned to the doing of the Word and not hearing only. James 1:23-24 (NKJV) For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
As one focuses on the Word of God and begins to develop experiences in putting it to use, the man changes and if he continues in the Word and the doing, He gradually becomes a Godman and his results are simply nothing short of miraculous. John 8:31-32 (NLT2) Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
God is calling on the church to become miracle workers, totally focused on the eternal and trusting Him for the impossible and the probable. It is the point that man will notice there is something different about you and the Holy Spirit will draw man unto you. This is a great saying and the Holy Spirit of God who dwells inside the believer is ready, willing and able to perform the greatness of God in this world through you. As Nike says it, ‘just do it’ and the rewards will be amazing. Christ in you, the hope of glory.
