You have a strong desire to protect your children, spouse, relatives {a little harder to do} and your friends and anyone in your life who has become special to you. We know the scriptures say to love your enemies which even gets more difficult.
What lies within this protection is a yearning to see good will come to them. This is also true of our Heavenly Father. He wants you protected at all costs, and He wants you to do the same. 1 John 5:18 (NASB) “We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps [Protects} him [us], and the evil one does not touch him.” This means that the Love of God is continually watching over you and seeing that good comes to you and what pertains to you. We must believe this or we walk outside of the realm that God has set for us. The 91st Psalm is the great passage of scripture that The Church uses for that protection. However, it begins by saying: Psalm 91:1 (HCSB) “The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty.” The awesome thing from this passage, is that Jesus has already fulfilled this scripture in us by choosing to live in us as a result of the Cross. We have this protection living in us and God wants us to demonstrate or give it away. We need to use it, or it goes dormant. It is accompanied by the other words that we are defining here in the ‘Love Always’ passage.
So how do we accomplish this use in the body? That is why He gave us prayer and the power of the tongue. I spent and still do, time every day praying these passages of scripture over my family, business, this ministry, you who are reading, my friends and my list is quite extensive [at least by my standards]. God has put a group of folks in all our lives and there is a distinct purpose for that. Use the power in you that God has given to be a blessing to those who are in the scope of your world. It is your right, privilege and obligation to know the power in you and to use it in the realm of the love definition. Ephesians 3:20 (NIV) “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” You are reading it right…You must work it and it is already there…so let’s get started...NOW! Don’t waste another day of using this incredible Gift! We can protect according to the Power in You that is Working.
