Delight [rejoice]: To affect with great pleasure; to please highly; to give or afford high satisfaction or joy; To receive great pleasure in.

Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.
We can’t imagine a person who delights in evil. We build an idea in our minds of evil, and we think of Jeffrey Dahmer the serial killer who destroyed many people. Maybe Isis is evil, they mutilate people; men, women and children and take over entire countries. Maybe it’s the politician who steals from the government for his own benefit.
Evil comes in a lot of different packages. But let me focus on one that we don’t often think about. How about doubt or doubting. God calls this evil. When we deny or doubt the promises of God, this is a form of evil. Hebrews 3:12 (NKJV) Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;”
Evil is defined as profoundly immoral and malevolent, harmful or tending to harm, extremely unpleasant. The Greek word here is adikia which can be translated wicked, unjust, dishonest, worldly, or wrong. We all do things wrong from time to time, but it is the blood of Jesus that has set us free and wiped our slate clean; yesterday, today and forever. When all is said and done, the only thing that can keep you out of heaven is the denial or doubting [evil] of the blood of Jesus and its power to forgive sins. We are his righteousness. If I can’t do anything good enough to get me into heaven, then I can’t do anything bad enough to keep me out. It’s all about Jesus and what He did for us. Put on His righteousness.
Don’t ever lose sight of the fact that what we are discussing here is not a heaven-hell issue, but where we stand in the blessing of this life and how we get to enjoy it. Hate doubt and unbelief and you will go far in life. Jesus will see to it.
