The "tree of life" is the tree which gives one eternal, everlasting "life." Therefore, it is the tree whose fruit brings "life": "And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden." (Gen. 2:9). In another nuance this word suggests a special quality of "life," life as a special gift from God (a gift of salvation): "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you, life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live" (Deut. 30:19). This is not representing the ‘zoe’ of God but the life that man can produce for himself because of doing the right things and staying with it until it produces for them the results that they have been believing[faith] for. It is day to day of breathing, speaking, working, playing, and doing the things that give one responsibility and success.
Every man, including unbelievers, can achieve this kind of life and it simply means he must follow a certain number of rules and procedures that will warrant this kind of blessing. I hear so many unbelievers on YouTube who have reached the billion-dollar portal and give no credit to God or the angels and quite frankly, speak of their hard work and doing the things necessary to achieve their desired goals.
I have experienced hundreds of believers who have not accomplished the necessary steps of faith to reel in the blessings desired. Soon they become discouraged and walk away from the lane of doing the right things. They have no ‘stick to it’ power and authority working for them because God demands a set of rules to incorporate the fruit to come to fruition. Even these men in the world have discovered these secrets but it comes with a price. Never, never give up. I don’t know why the world understands this principle so well and the believer fumbles it like a simple pass for a 5-yard football gain. Fear has a great deal to do with it but one must manage fear to its fullest extent. None the less, God gives to His beloved more than they deserve, but to reach the pinnacle of success, it is necessary to follow the rules till the game is over.
