All the life of my children I have taught them to learn to be silent and do not speak your peace or reveal to others what you are doing or especially preparing to do. So often I would be in the middle of a faith project, and folks would approach me about what was going on. They wanted to know how I purchased or acquired something. I refused to tell them except only what they could see. These things are hidden in God and to divulge a matter to someone before it had a chance to manifest itself was always a huge mistake. God wants us to be silent about our matters here on the earth and the only things that someone should know is what they see. The scripture speaks of ‘wisdom in a multitude of counselors but these people need not know everything that you are contemplating, but only the matter that pertains specifically to them.
In my early years, it seemed that every time I would talk about a project or an idea, it would end up never happening or I would lose the opportunity. People want to know what you are thinking and planning but it is typically just a ‘nosey’ approach to what you are doing. However, they cannot help you or fix it or make it come to pass. That part is hidden in God, and I have discovered that only God can ultimately help me. This is true of my health, finances, business decisions, marriage, relationships and anything that pertains to me.
The scripture declares that we are all priests and kings through Jesus, and it is the honor of God to reveal to us the hidden things of the Kingdom of God. So, as scripture declares, it is the responsibility of the individual to dig it out, the way a scientist would research and discover a thing. 1 Thessalonians 4:11 (NIV) “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you”. James 1:25 (GW) … “the person who continues to study God's perfect teachings that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don't merely listen and forget; they do what God's teachings say.”
Find out what God has to say about a thing, hide it in your heart and begin to move forward with what He has declared. Keep Silent!!!! You will find yourself in a place where faith is abounding and blessing is coming your way. It will be a struggle, but the trial is there to build you up, not to tear you down, to encourage you, not to discourage, to get you to focus on who God is and not you, your ability, your friends or anyone in your life that you confide in. God wants to be your all in all and He wants you to trust Him with your finances and your health and all your relationships, the key things of life.
