Perform: To do; to execute; to accomplish; as, to perform two days' labor in one day; to perform a noble deed or achievement. To execute; to discharge; as, to perform a duty or office.
To fulfill; as, to perform a covenant, promise or contract; to perform a vow.

Finally, Gen. 5:1 equates two as follows: "In the day that God created [bārāʾ] man, in the likeness of God made [ʿāśâ] he him." When those of us who have crossed over to the other side [got born again] an incredible power became available to us. The power to live and move and have our being. To prosper, be healthy, accomplish everything prepared for us, to succeed at every endeavor.
Why may you ask? Because Jesus himself watches over His Word to make sure that it is performed exactly as He wrote it. Let’s think about that for a minute. That means that the earth is held in its place by His Word. Can you imagine the power to keep this 25,000-mile circumference ball of clay that weighs such an immeasurable weight is being controlled by the creator of the Universe? Do you believe this? The oxygen in the air which we breathe is always being replenished and provides for us life for our lungs and whole body. He keeps it operating. The sun, which is infinite in its heat, never stops doing what it was designed to do. If it had a mind of its own, we would be cooked. Jesus keeps it where it is supposed to always be. Do you believe this? This God we believe in is all powerful, all knowing and all loving, keeps this universe in place and functioning the way HE designed it.
Now let’s bring this a little closer to home. This God we believe in said, “Lay hands on the sick and they will recover.” Do you believe this? He also said to speak to a mountain, and it would have to be removed, kicked out of the way and tossed into the sea. Do we believe this?
Well, you see where I am going with this. Why do we not see these things happening in the church today? Has Jesus kicked back and decided to go on vacation where His promises are concerned? Has He stopped controlling the universe? NO… NO… NO… and He has not stopped controlling healing and blessing and prosperity. He simply watches over His Word to Perform it. This promise is for those who believe. You know, He did not say you have to believe the sun staying in place or the moon coming out, He just performs that, but we are created in His image and the blessings of life come to those who believe that which Mary spoke to us, “let it be unto me according unto Your Word’ this is what the Angels spoke to her and she simply believed. [Luke 1:38]
How about you? Is God showing up and showing out in your life? Is He as big as the universe to you? Can we believe that He controls it all and is all powerful and lives in us to show up big in our life to set us free from the destruction that is here and, in the future, to cause us to always triumph in every endeavor? This is the God we serve! He loves you and is ready, willing and able to perform His Word in your life.
