God is dealing with the sin side of man. He took the stripes on his back, the bruises of a beating, and the nails in his hands and feet to gain for us far more than the conventional teaching of sin alone. As we seen in this series, sickness, failure, mental destruction, sin, iniquities and the complete wholeness of man; mental, physical, spiritual was hung on that cross. Nothing that you will ever face in life was left out. This has made us to be free in Christ Jesus, for who the son has set free is free indeed. So, the next time some sickness, struggle, hardship, attack of any kind from the devil your enemy, stand against it and stand in faith of which without it, it will be impossible to please God. God will step in and stop the devil in his tracks, but it is our job to resist him, and he will flee, God will perform His Word for you and assure you the He is in control.
The sister to this scripture is found in Mathew 8;17 and Heb 13;8 to bring the New and Old together. So, then, why are we, as a general rule, not seeing this magnificent experience as a mass thing for the body of Christ. That answer is found in Matthew 17:20 (MSG) “Because you're not yet taking God seriously," said Jesus. "The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a poppy seed, say, you would tell this mountain, 'Move!' and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn't be able to tackle." I love the way the Message Bible presents the truth of this statement. It does it from the position of use and not how much you have. We have all been given a measure of faith to be born again, so the passage really does do us good to use the concept “you are not taking God serious”. But here it is not the lack of faith but the use of our faith that is so important. This simple decision will be the bridge in your life to freedom from the destruction that is out there and the blessing that God offers. All of us will have to face that barrier that wants to keep us from being whole. Body, Soul and Spirit. You have been equipped, but will we use that power?
