God speaks of His ways and His thoughts in a way that they are considerable different from ours. In His Word He attempts to teach and train us in a way/thought that is different than the world around us and speaks to us daily. We certainly cannot function victoriously with the way the world thinks and acts. Hatred, bitterness, lying, cheating, stealing, deceiving, anger are not the things that bring glory to us or anyone else.
This is the sole purpose of knowing the things that God is speaking to us and attempting to get us to believe in. We have only the flesh [see, feel, touch, taste, and smell] to guide us without supernatural intervention by God Himself. The spiritual side is what we lost in the Garden of Eden and was not available on an individual basis until Jesus and the Cross whereby His blood and flesh sacrifice bought us the right to have the spirit live on the inside of us to direct, guide and counsel in the ways of the Lord.
Even then it is a matter of believing it and acting accordingly, nothing is automatic. We must try to make an effort to find Gods ways and thoughts and implement them into our thinking and most of all, our actions. We must be doers of the Word and not merely hearers only who deceive themselves. James 1:22-23 (NKJV) But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
