The Spirit was given to us to run and control our life to the point of Lordship. He is a perfect gentleman and will never usurp His will over ours but will with our consent join with us in the living of every minute of every day. His goal is to come along side to help which is the meaning of Spirit in the New Testament. He is like the suit worn in the movie ‘Iron Man’ where Robert Downey Jr. would put on this special made suit and it would empower him to do amazing feats that the world would look at and drool over, wishing they could do something like that to empower them to accomplish much more.
I am here to tell you we have much more than this to accomplish much more grander feats than flying around somewhere needing special power or electrification. None of that is necessary to the believer as he is completely empowered to perform miracles of all kinds, things that Iron Man could only dream about. So where is the problem and why aren’t we seeing this occur. The church in general has died to the supernatural in that it spends much of its time dealing with the intellectual and reasoning away what God intended for His people while living on the earth. The soul reason for the following: John 14:12 (KJV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. So, what about this statement do we not understand except for doubt and unbelief. This will change and the Holy Spirit will make sure as many are looking for something more real than the world of the flesh.
