Eagleton Science Fellow Makes Impact With COVID Alert NJ App

Eagleton Science Fellow Hanna Sherrill, an aide at the New Jersey Department of Health who has a doctoral degree in neuroscience, has been working since the spring on the COVID Alert NJ app to alert users when they have been exposed to a person who has tested positive for the coronavirus. The Eagleton Science and Politics Fellowship, which places Ph.D.-level scientists and engineers within state government to provide expertise to the development and implementation of relevant state policy, is helping to fill a need the pandemic brought into the forefront for scientists to work in government and policy. Newark City of Learning Collaborative Announces Robyn Brady Ince as ED

Ince was selected to provide transformational leadership to this nationally prominent initiative focused on the importance of accessing a postsecondary education to pave Newark’s path to equitable growth and racial equity. More than one-third of young adults in the United States report having thoughts of death and suicide, while nearly half show at least moderate symptoms of depression, according to a nationwide survey led by researchers from RU–New Brunswick, Harvard Medical School and others. More.
