County Executive Elrich Released Recommended $6.8 Billion Fiscal Year 2024 Operating Budget
This is an increase of 7.7 percent from the FY23 approved all funds budget (County Government plus outside agencies).
The recommended FY24 budget reflects record level and significant investments for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), Montgomery College, affordable housing, economic development, public safety, and efforts to combat climate change.
- The CE recommends a 10-Cent increase in County’s Property Tax to be used exclusively to fully fund MCPS Budget request

The Information Technology Institute is hiring two Placement & Learning Advisors to work with the TechMap Program.
The Tech Metro Area Pathways (TechMAP) Program is funded by a US Department of Labor grant to provide career pathways training in Information Technology (IT).
The MC TechMAP Program will improve the retention, completion, and employment rates of individuals historically underrepresented in IT.
