Service is 25% off now through December!

Please read complete email and find print before bringing your bike(s) in.

Greetings!

Now that winter is upon us, it's time for my to put my services on sale. The JRABS tagline is "Providing Bicyclists with the Greatest Mechanical Advantage". This is something that I live by, as this is mostly a repair and maintenance shop. I have a pure passion for making bikes work as they were designed, and that you're comfortable and efficient on yours.

"Bike shops usually don't see a customer bring in a bike until a failure has occurred. Not only has this ruined a ride, it generally means less cost-effective solutions will be called for over the long haul than the cost effectiveness of preventive maintenance. Additionally, the reality is that these ride-stopping failures rarely came out of the blue. Instead, slowly, steadily, and insidiously some type of performance, whether it is shift performance, brake performance, or mechanical efficiency, has been deteriorating so slowly that it goes almost unnoticed until complete failure occurs. In the mean time, the experience of riding has been subtly less enjoyable and less rewarding for a significant amount of time." - John Barnett, Barnett Bicycle Institute

I completely agree. So please keep reading about why now is the best time to bring your bike in for service!

Earlier, I sent out emails about disc brake service and chain waxing. This would be the perfect time to get these services performed. If your bike has hydraulic disc brakes, is ridden regularly, and hasn't had the brakes bled I highly suggest getting this done - at some point you WILL NEED this.

There are many maintenance packages from which to choose. Simply bring your bike in, and I will give you a free estimate of what it needs.

Can't live without your bike? You can bring it in for the estimate, take it with you, and bring it back to me a few days before you would like to pick it up.

I will need to see your bike before estimating it for service (I can't quote over the phone or via email - sorry).

Now thru December:

25% off all services*

--------------

January:

20% off all services*

-----------------

February: 15% off all services!*

-------------------

March: 10% off all services!*

-------------------

April: Regular prices resume

So here's how it works:

  1. You bring your bike(s) in anytime I'm open - no appointment necessary.
  2. You can either wait for an estimate or I can email it to you. If I have multiple customers in at the time or it's closing time, I'll email you the detailed quote, which will include a link for pre-payment (see #3).
  3. In order to take advantage of the sale price, I ask that you pay the estimated price up front. If I emailed you the quote you can either call or stop in with payment, or I can send you a secure link to pay.
  4. You can either leave your bike with me or take it with you and keep riding, then bring it back a couple of days before the due date. You can even wait until March - it doesn't matter to me.
  5. You pick your bike up and have it ready for Spring! All you'll have to do is pump up the tires and go! There may be a balance either way - maybe there were extra parts needed, or maybe it ended up costing less than the original estimate. We'll take care of it in either direction then.

*Fine Print:

Sale prices cannot be combined with any other discounts, offers, coupons, sale prices, etc.

Service not discounted for installation of items that were purchased elsewhere.

Work order estimate must be paid in full at time of write-up to receive discounts.

I'm a one-man operation, so if I get backed up I may ask that you take your bike with you and bring it back at a later date - you'll still get the discount (as you will have paid the estimated price at time of write-up).

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this email, and being a part of JRABS! I hope to see you soon, and that you can bring your bike in for service. I truly believe that JRABS takes the time and has the knowledge and care to help you achieve the best possible bicycling experience. I also take pride in providing the best possible customer service experience, so if you ever have any questions or problems, please don't hesitate to contact me via phone, email, or in-person.

Sincerely,

Travis Evans
