Cuyahoga Community College (Tri‑C), the oldest and largest public community college in Ohio, continues to shape the region’s educational landscape. Its Western Campus recently marked an impressive 60 years with a full day of celebrations, distinguished speakers, and special recognitions.

Under the leadership of its new president, Dr. Rebecca Rahschulte, Tri‑C is entering an exciting new chapter—most notably with the announcement of the very first Cleveland Guardians Training Center. This year‑round, state‑of‑the‑art facility will feature cutting‑edge technology and serve athletes of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. Programming will include team training sessions, baseball and softball clinics, and specialized individual and small‑group instruction.

A huge THANK YOU to Tri‑C for serving as the MAIN EVENT SPONSOR of RIB 'N ROCK 2026!

RIB 'N ROCK BAND SPOTLIGHT

Chardon Polka Band

Live at RIB 'N ROCK

Sunday, June 7th | 2:00 – 5:00 pm | Mayors' Tent

Chardon Polka Band: A modern polka band bringing polka music to a new generation!

In 2003, 16-year-old Jake Kouwe was told there was no place for an accordion in his local high school’s marching band. In response, Jake recruited five schoolmates to form an oompah-style polka band. First known as “The Chardon High School Polka Band,” the group continues twenty-three years later. The band’s membership has changed over the years, but their eclectic style and unique sound have never wavered.

Check out CPB at Rib n Rock on Sunday, June 7th at the Mayors’ Tent from 2:00-5:00p.m.

Member Events

In the wake of the heartbreaking loss of a Valley Forge student, many parents in our community felt the same thing — we needed to do something.

These “You Matter” yard signs were created as a simple but powerful reminder that every person deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported. As May is Mental Health Awareness Month, we hope to fill our Tri-City community—Parma, Parma Heights, and Seven Hills—with this message and create visible reminders throughout our neighborhoods that no one is alone.

These signs are for anyone and everyone to display—parents, families, neighbors, local businesses, schools, and community members who want to stand together in support of mental health awareness and kindness.

This is more than a sign — it’s a community statement. It’s people coming together to say: we care, we notice, and you matter.

Proceeds from these signs will go directly back into our schools to support student safety initiatives and help strengthen the environments where our kids learn and grow every day.

We would love for the entire Tri-City community to stand with us, place a sign in your yard, and help spread awareness, compassion, and connection—one street at a time.
