The City of Santa Clara May Increase Taxes This Year
We are particularly concerned that the City is considering an annual employee head tax based on the number of employees in your business.

One Councilmember recently suggested taxing businesses $50 to $100 per employee per year with the money going to the general operations of the City. Another Councilmember suggested that the major companies in Santa Clara could easily pay an additional $1 million annually.

In Mountain View, a similar employee head tax costs one company $3 million annually.
