California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant
Round 9 | Open for New Applications

These grants prioritize educational businesses, women owned businesses and those serving low-income populations. Help with applications is available through California Women's Business Centers. They offer an application walk-through webinar in your language of choice or a Q&A webinar! Or you can send an email to wbcnetwork@e-jedi.org to receive updates and tips for successful application.
Round 9, the final round of the California small business COVID-19 relief grant program is open with applications due by September 30. Family Child care businesses who were open in June 2019 or after can apply to receive $5,000 - $25,000
RENT CONTROL SUPPORT
The American Rescue Plan provided a combined $46.5 billion in emergency rental assistance to help cover unpaid rent, upcoming rent, and utilities for 15 million Americans who reported being behind on rent. For eligible households, 100% of back-rent and utilities dating back to April 2020 will be covered.

In order to qualify, renters must be financially impacted by COVID-19 and have a household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. In San Mateo County, that would be $117,100 for a household of 2, or $146,350 for a household of 4.

FREE Drive-Thru COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics
Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC)
Given new evidence on the Delta variant, CDC has updated their guidance for fully vaccinated people. CDC recommends universal indoor masking for all teachers, staff, students, and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status. Children should return to full-time in-person learning in the fall with layered prevention strategies in place.

SMCOE's Early Learning Support Services department will be offering the following virtual professional development (PD) opportunities for the 2021-2022 program year. In support of site reopenings and recovery efforts post-pandemic, these virtual trainings will also be at no cost to participants.
