Early Fall Lesson Registration is Now Open!

The 7 Week Early Fall Session starts Monday September 14 2026

Dear Current and Prospective Clients,

Summer may still be in full swing, but fall is just around the corner and with it comes some of the best riding of the year.

As always, priority for the upcoming season will go to our current boarders, part-boarders, and returning lesson clients. Any remaining spots will then be offered to new clients, based on availability and the best match for arena time, instructors, and horses.

Our Early Fall 2026 lesson session begins Monday September 14. To be included in the initial scheduling process, please submit your registration by Friday August 28.

The more flexibility you can offer with your preferred days and times, the easier it will be for us to accommodate as many riders as possible while ensuring boarders have adequate arena time and each student receives the personal attention they deserve.

We put a great deal of time and care into building the lesson schedule around the availability submitted by all of our riders. Before registering, please double-check your calendar, school/work schedules, and other commitments, and only select days and times that you can reliably attend for the full session. Once the schedule has been built, changes to previously submitted availability can be very difficult to accommodate and often have a ripple effect on other riders, instructors, and horse assignments. We truly appreciate your help in getting it right the first time!

📋Registration Closes: Friday, August 28

📅 Session Dates: Monday, September 14 - Sunday November 8

LESSON SESSION PAYMENT OPTIONS

  • Lesson package payment is required at the time of registration to secure your spot. Registrations without payment may not be added to the schedule.

  • If you have arranged to pay as you go (cash, cheque or e-transfer only, no package discount) your payment is due at the start of each lesson. You must contact us directly by phone or email to arrange a pay as you go plan.

  • The option to pay for lesson packages by credit card is available through the online registration form only. Please have your payment method ready to go as this form may timeout and we do not have the ability to send you a new payment link.

  • Payments by e-transfer (strongly preferred!) should be sent to payments@oldorchardfarm.ca

  • If you wish to pay by cheque (made out to Old Orchard Farm) or cash, you must contact us to confirm when and how you will be submitting your payment. This ensures we can confirm receipt and place the rider on the schedule. Registrations without confirmed payment arrangements will not be scheduled.

  • Any Cheque returned NSF by your bank will be subject to a $50.00 administration charge.

  • All riders, or their parent/guardian, must complete an online registration package and sign a separate release form before riding at Old Orchard Farm.

LESSON CANCELLATION & MAKE UP POLICY

  • 24 Hours’ Notice: We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend your lesson. Please notify us as early as possible, as this affects horse assignments and daily scheduling.
  • Group Lesson Packages: Group lesson packages are sold at a discounted rate and are non-refundable.
  • Lessons Cancelled by OOF: If a lesson is cancelled by Old Orchard Farm or your instructor, a make-up lesson will be arranged.
  • Lessons Missed for Personal Reasons: We offer a maximum of one (1) make-up lesson per session for lessons missed due to personal reasons (not cancelled or rescheduled by Old Orchard Farm or your instructor).
  • Make-up lessons must be completed by joining another regularly scheduled lesson within the same session and are subject to horse, instructor, and space availability. It is the rider’s responsibility to arrange a make-up lesson with their instructor. Please do not wait until the final week of the session.
  • No Private Make-Up Lessons: We do not offer private or separate lessons to replace missed group lessons.
  • No Refunds or Credits: There are no refunds or credits for lessons missed for personal reasons that cannot be made up within the session.

A Note About Make-Up Lessons

In most sports and activities, missed classes are simply forfeited. At Old Orchard Farm, we recognize that unexpected conflicts arise, so we offer one make-up lesson per session as a courtesy to our riders.

When you book a lesson, your instructor, horse, and arena time are reserved specifically for you. If you are unable to attend, that lesson space generally cannot be offered to another rider, while the costs of providing your lesson remain the same. For this reason, payment is still required for missed lessons.

While we will always do our best to accommodate a make-up lesson, opportunities depend on horse availability, instructor schedules, and open lesson times and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
