Thank You

Thank you for the incredibly important and challenging work you do every day to plan, coordinate and deliver effective early intervention services to the infants, toddlers and families in your communities. You reach children early, when the impact is greatest. You extend that impact even more by increasing the confidence and competence of each child's family and caregivers so they can continue to be their child's best teacher and support.

Early Intervention Awareness Month recognizes the value of the services and supports you provide. You make a difference in the lives of Virginia's children and families!

With admiration and appreciation,

Kyla Patterson

What do you love about Early Intervention?

I love connecting with infants, toddlers, families, colleagues, and students...all with a passion to support, coach, facilitate, and teach.

Corey Herd Cassidy

I love all the personal and professional relationships I have made in my 21 years in early intervention. It’s exciting working with people who love coming to work and collaborating with families who know we are just as invested in their little ones as they are. EI families rock!

Kimberly Boose

Who doesn’t love babies!? I love being part of a team that is genuine, dedicated and can keep their judgey pants at the door. We meet children and families where they are and help the family define what success looks like for their child. I♥️EI

Marti Clark

I LOVE this age group but my absolute favorite part of early intervention is helping to empower families. There is nothing better than watching a caregiver begin to feel more confident with their parenting ❤️

I also enjoy connecting with other professionals in this amazing early intervention community we have in Virginia.

Emily Amerson

The relationships that I have made with my families during the last 30 years!

Mary Marzulli

I love EI because after I had my son prematurely, I felt loved and supported as a parent with a child in the program. I never felt alone. Now that I'm a service coordinator, I love the rapport and strong family bonds I've built with my kids and their families. I truly want nothing more than all of our EI kiddos to succeed and bring joy to families for years to come!

Sarah Nicole

I love collaborating with families and other providers!

Pam Stephenson

I love that families can learn how to have the very best beginning for the very best foundation for their baby’s life! Feeding, holding, grooming, nurturing, and playing and living their specific everyday life with intention.

Andrea Breckner

I love helping babies and toddlers gain self confidence through movement and play. Then, seeing their parents beam with pride because they helped their child become independent and their confidence as parents have grown exponentially! Priceless!

Missy Rose

Love seeing growth in children and families!
