1.)   March Monthly Early Learning Professional Development: FLIP IT! Saturday, March 9th and 16th from 9:00am – 12:00pm
Our March monthly STARS training will be the very popular FLIP IT! training. It will be presented by Tracy Collins from ESD 112 and take place on two consecutive Saturday’s March 9th and March 16th from 9:00am – 12:00pm. You must attend both sessions and upon completion will receive 6 STARS hours.

FLIP IT is a four-step supportive strategy to help young children learn about their feelings, gain self-control, and reduce challenging behavior. FLIP IT! teaches adults how to respond positively to everyday challenges and challenging behaviors in children ages 3 to 8. 1. Learn how to respond positively to everyday challenges and challenging behaviors. 2. Become familiar with a four-step strategy used to help young children identify their feelings. 3. Help children learn healthy self-control and reduce challenging behaviors.

2.)   Fulcrum Early Childhood Education Grant is now OPEN!
Last Thursday an individual email was sent to you and your Principal giving you all the information needed to apply for the Fulcrum Early Childhood Education Grant. The grant portal is now open until Monday, March 4th. Please see attached link for the overview, application questions and scoring rubric and an additional link for access to the portal. Please let me know if you have any questions.

3.)   Licensed ONLY - Licensing “WAC” of the week: Storage of hazardous and maintenance supplies
This week’s WAC focus looks at Storage of hazardous and maintenance supplies. It highlights where and how individual products should be stored. The WAC also describes the requirements of the rooms in which hazardous and maintenance supplies are kept.
