About the Program

This program delves into the social science of persuasion during the early mediation process. The best mediators know how to do it! They can tell you what they do, but few understand why it works. They don’t realize that there is a social science that explains why their techniques are so successful. This program bridges that gap by uncovering the science behind successful persuasion, providing a structured framework to explain why people say "yes" under the influence of specific principles. Drawing from the work of Dr. Robert Cialdini, a leading authority on the subject, the program explores seven universal principles of persuasion rooted in both academic research and real-world application.

Myer is a Harvard Law Graduate, the founder of MCLA, a past president of SCMA, and the only attorney and mediator trained by Dr. Cialdini to present his innovative workshop on the Principles of Persuasion.

This program is presented by the Alternative Dispute Resolution section chaired by Jeffrey Kravitz and Robert M. Cohen. Find out more at www.bhba.org.
