We are saddened by the recent loss of our dear Children’s Farmyard donkey, Dudley, a Miniature Sicilian Donkey who came to us from Farm friends, Bob and Marcia Nappi, in 1991. Dudley was 36 years old – long-lived for this breed. He spent 28 of those years at the Farm, and was a fixture in the Children’s Farmyard. Look back on his years with us. Vermont schools serve meals to more than 50,000 students, with an investment of $50.3 million annually. $15.5 million of that money is spent on food alone. Vermont FEED and the Vermont Farm to School Network dove into the incredible complexity behind school meal programs and how farm to school can be a catalyst for positive change.
