Veterans Day Ceremony


Lower Gwynedd Township is pleased to announce that it will honor America’s veterans with its 12th annual ceremony, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. This year’s ceremony will again be held at Lower Gwynedd’s Veterans Memorial Park, at the intersection of N. Bethlehem Pike and Penllyn Pike, in Spring House. All Township residents, and neighbors from surrounding Montgomery and Bucks County municipalities, as well as all veterans and their families, are invited and encouraged to attend the ceremony.

Comprehensive Plan Open House Feedback


Thank you to everyone who attended the open house and provided feedback on the comprehensive plan. In order to reach people who were unable to attend, or for those who wanted more time to consider their comments, we have uploaded images of the posters to an online survey for people to comment on. Lower Gwynedd Receives $1,155,736


Representative Hanbidge announced that $2.9 million will be coming back to the 61st District for important projects! This funding, from the Statewide Local Share Account, supports initiatives across PA. Lower Gwynedd Township will receive $704,424 for Ingersoll Park improvements and $451,312 for traffic signal modernization at Penllyn Pike and Trewellyn Avenue. These upgrades will enhance accessibility and safety in our community!

Battery & Techno Recycling


Battery and Techno Trash drop off is scheduled for Sat. November 9 from 9-1 at the Township Building. As a reminder any battery 9v and over must have the terminals covered in clear tape. Hearing Aid, watch, button batteries must be taped. The Township is no longer accepting damaged lithium batteries.

Give Back! Gwynedd Gives Warmth


Gwynedd Mercy Academy School is hosting its fourth annual coat drive, Gwynedd Gives Warmth! From October 28th to November 19th, you can drop off coats at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School and the Lower Gwynedd Township Building. All coats will be donated to those in need through One Warm Coat Distribution. 

 

This initiative was started by alumna Ava Kulp as part of the LEAD4Change program. Inspired by the Sisters of Mercy’s focus on earth, Ava aimed to provide warmth to those in need while also supporting the environment.
