Joe Gawronski is the President and COO of Rosenblatt Securities, a New York City-headquartered institutional broker founded in 1979. One of the first to provide customers market structure analysis, the firm continues to be a thought leader in the field. Its Let There Be Light monthly reports in the US, Europe and Canada are still widely regarded as providing the most in-depth analysis of displayed and non-displayed liquidity, including unique data sets from dark pools that report nowhere else.

Joe is formerly a securities and M&A lawyer with Sullivan & Cromwell, a Vice President in the equities division with Salomon Smith Barney and COO of Linx, a block trading ATS. He received his B.A. in Public and International Affairs at Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
He is President of the National Organization of Investment Professionals, a member of the Equity Market Structure Advisory Board to the US Committee on Capital Markets Regulation, and a former term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Jim Toes is President and CEO of the Security Traders Association (STA), a grassroots trade
organization which serves individuals employed in the financial services industry. In his role,
Mr. Toes maintains STA’s relationship with U.S. regulators and congressional policymakers. Since assuming his position in 2011, STA has written more than fifty (50) comment letters on a wide range of issues under the regulatory oversight of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; Department of Treasury; Commodities and Futures Trading Commission; FINRA;
and the Senate and House Financial Services Committees.
Prior to joining STA, Mr. Toes was a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for 18 years where he held various management positions in equity and options sales, trading and clearing while interacting with a broad range of clients that included – institutional and middle market asset
managers; broker-dealers; and retail investors.
