June 10-13 was our 3rd Annual Landscape Short Course - an educational collaboration with
Campbell County Public Schools
. This initiative seeks to build pride in agricultural and landscaping pathways with students in their local county so that the Green Industry has a quality future workforce.
Twelve students worked together to complete Phase Two of our Dream Garden.
This garden represents an investment in education, as well as purposed as a display area for customers and prospective clients to envision landscape and hardscape installations. Students installed a bluestone patio and steppers, travertine patio, bubbling fountain water feature, stone steps, deck railings, and boulders, as well as learned to plant flowers and shrubs.
At the completion of the course last week, we were proud to offer paid summer internships to five students. So proud of the students involved in this project! We are also so thankful for the many team members and school personnel that worked so diligently to make our Short Course a huge success!
