Early voting has begun, and in these final days, the choice before us is clear.
For months, we have traveled across these Virgin Islands listening to you. We have heard the frustration of families facing WAPA outages, rising costs, schools in disrepair, delayed projects, and a government that too often makes daily life harder than it should be.
Now, instead of answering those concerns, some are trying to frighten government employees into believing that a Plaskett-Potter administration will begin mass firings.
That is false.
Milton served as Director of Personnel. He understands government employment, the value of experience, continuity, institutional knowledge, and the public workers who keep this territory moving every day.
Our decisions will not be driven by revenge, rumor, or political retaliation. We will assess people fairly, respect competence, support employees who are doing the work, and expect clear standards and real performance throughout government.
Public service should never be used as a weapon to frighten families during an election.
This election is also about turning resources into results.
Stacey has spent years carrying the Virgin Islands’ fight to Washington, securing more than $24 billion for recovery and rebuilding, major support for our hospitals and schools, and a stronger federal Medicaid match.
But federal resources do not become finished projects on their own.
A Delegate can fight for the money but she cannot ensure the work gets done. THAT is the job of a Governor. To make sure the project moves, the department performs, the work is completed, and we have progress we can see and feel.
That is the responsibility we are asking you to entrust to us.
This campaign is People Powered for a reason. No future changes unless people show up and choose it.
Vote early. Take your family. Call your friends. Check on a senior who may need a ride. Speak with the government worker who has been told to be afraid.
Do not vote out of fear. Before you vote, ask yourself if you want a third term of the current administration.
Vote for leadership that respects people, demands results, and is ready to deliver.
From today onward...look for Number 2. Vote for the Power of Two.
