Earlier today, the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce sent out a legislative advocacy eblast covering important details surrounding the Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA), which is in effect starting today, February 21, 2025. You can view this eblast here: https://conta.cc/41bicv3
Since then, it has been confirmed that Governor Whitmer officially signed on the key changes to the bill, which were detailed in the prior eblast in the "Key Changes to the ESTA Bill" section.
To avoid confusion, we also would like to clarify that a 'small business' is defined as '10 or fewer employees' in this legislation.
