HAPPY EARTH DAY April 22, 2023!
City of Santa Rosa Earth Day Festival will take place Saturday, April 22, from noon-4pm at Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa.

This FREE, family-friendly, zero waste festival brings the community together through fun activities, live performing arts, great food, and inspiring exhibits that raise environmental awareness. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate our vibrant city and get involved by learning about solutions to address drought, climate change, and environmental concerns in our community.  
Architecture at Zero is a design competition for decarbonization, equity and resilience, open to students and professionals worldwide. It serves to engage the fields of architecture, design, engineering and planning in the pursuit of sustainable design.

The 2023 competition challenge is to design an agriculture center, connecting the history of California’s first Black town, to its present aspiration to become a destination for sustainable agriculture and Black history.

Graduate students and professionals will also design housing for farm students on the site.
Architectural Tour: Bowman House + Studio Project Next Week 4/27
Join your local AIA Chapter for this rare opportunity! Obie Bowman, FAIA and Helena Bowman will host us for an architectiural tour of their recently completed residence and workspace.

Time: 4:30-6:30pm

RECSI has the pleasure to announce the site for our Annual Technical Tour! This year we will be visiting the newly constructed Healdsburg Lumber LLC facility! Join us Thursday May 4th at 5:30 pm to see what the new HLC building has to offer! We will be touring the entire showroom as well as see where the new Marvin Windows and Hudson Street Design facility will be located. 
After the tour we will meet at Fogbelt Brewing  for food and drinks! Please RSVP to let us know how many to expect at the Brewery.

AIA California Chapters are pleased to bring the internationally-recognized exhibition, SAY IT LOUD by Beyond the Built Environment, to the AIA Conference on Architecture in June of 2023. SAY IT LOUD - California will elevate the contributions of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and women designers and architects through the Conference Exhibition as well as regional exhibitions and events across the state in 2023 and beyond. 
BIPOC (Black, indigenous, people of color) and women architects, engineers, designers, students and planners who reside in California are encouraged to submit.

Entry deadline is May 4, 2022.
