Earth Day 2023 is tomorrow!

Over 50 years ago, Gaylord Nelson founded Earth Day, starting an environmental revolution. On that first Earth Day, Senator Nelson proclaimed; 

“Earth Day can – and it must – lend a new urgency and a new support to solving the problems that still threaten to tear the fabric of this society... Our goal is not just an environment of clean air and water and scenic beauty. The objective is an environment of decency, quality, and mutual respect for all other human beings and all other living creatures.” 

Senator Nelson’s message rings true today, and is even more pressing than ever. As Representative Scott Peters said, "Earth Day should encourage us to reflect on what we are doing to make our planet a more sustainable and livable place."

Earth Day 2023 is focused on accelerating solutions to combat our greatest threat, climate change, and to activate everyone to do their part; everyone is accounted for and accountable. 

Now is the time to act- we must invest in our planet; a green future is a prosperous future.

Earth Day is an important day for people to take the time out of their busy lives to consider the impact that humanity has on the environment and for taking steps to minimize these impacts, so we all can live happier and healthier lives in tune with nature.
