Getting Our Hands Dirty for Earth Day

Protecting the environment starts with caring for our community — the best investment we can make for our future.

On Earth Day 2026, Marina Coast Water District volunteer staff traded their usual routines for gloves and bags, spreading out across Marina terrain and picking up over 1000 lbs of garbage - removing half a ton of litter from our landscape!

Proudly wearing their MCWD t-shirts, there was a sense of energy as colleagues turned Earth Day into a shared mission for community.

Once all bags were full and tied, the landscape looked refreshed and there was a collective sense of accomplishment. Staff was pleased to once again take part in this yearly global effort, strengthening both personal growth and the Marina community.
