The Manager, EHS primary role is to develop, implement, and manage environmental processes for operations and facilities in EMC's North America region. This role will be responsible for managing regional EMC EHS personnel, external EHS consultants, and/or Facilities Management (FM) Service Providers that additionally provide EHS-related services for individual or multiple countries. This role will also be responsible for managing EMC's global carbon accounting management program, working closely with EMC's Office of Sustainability. The Manager, EHS will work with the Senior Manager EHS to set policy for, and prioritize, environmental, health and safety activities within the business, supporting overall the EHS function and the Real Estate and Facilities Management Team. This position will interface with business units across EMC, and will be looked at as a subject matter expert and professional point of contact, supporting business functions and acting as a liaison to external EHS agencies, industry organizations, and peer groups.

Environmental Health & Safety Manager

Mittera is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to work proactively with managers and employees to establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working practices across the organization. This individual will have the ability to communicate effectively to managers as well as supervise one EHS Specialist and EHS Interns as needed. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this position is located in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will be asked to establish and administer EH&S procedure and safety programs throughout the corporation at multiple work sites located throughout the Midwest, ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local Government Regulations (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, DOT, Fire Department, etc.), act as the primary contact for Federal, State and Local inspectors including OSHA, IDNR, and EPA. S/he will also help develop controls for identified hazards, coordinate the implementation of controls from result of hazard analysis. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate work place accidents and injuries. B.A or B.S. from a four-year college or university and 2-5 years of relevant experience in a health and safety field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and a knowledge of safety programs as well as workers compensation. CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred. Experience in First Aid, CPR and AED certified preferred.

Senior Manager, Corporate EHS&S

The Senior Manager, Corporate EHSS will be responsible for providing strategic oversight in the development, implementation and management of all Carus Group EHSS corporate policies and standards. The position is accountable for recommending appropriate EHSS goals and budgets along with appropriate metrics associated with monitoring performance across Carus Group. It will also champion the PSM policies and provide training at all levels of the organization to encourage employee participation and culture change as it relates to process safety and be responsible for directing, executing and/or supervising safety and health programs at Carus Group locations utilizing an engaging behavioral based approach. A BS in engineering, preferably chemical, environmental or mechanical along with 10 or more years of experience in a chemical/petrochemical setting with at least 5 years overseeing multiple locations is required. OSHA PSM, EPA RMP preferred.
