Kensington Earthquake Preparedness Meeting
Thursday, August 28th-Learn tips on preparing  your house & family
The recent Napa earthquake is a reminder to all Bay Area residents of the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies to prevent and minimize impacts.

To share tips and best-practices in earthquake preparedness, the Kensington Public Safety Council (KPSC) is hosting a meeting Thursday, August 28 at the Kensington Community Center.

This is a great opportunity for residents to learn valuable information from experts. I hope you'll attend.

What: Earthquake Preparedness Meeting
When: 7 p.m. Thursday, August 28
Where: Kensington Community Center, 59 Arlington Avenue
Details: Information on preparing for an earthquake from Battalion Chief David Gibson of the El Cerrito/Kensington Fire Department and local CERT members (Certified Emergency Response Team). Including lessons in turning off gas meters, and information on gas meter shut-off valves. A sample shut-off valve will be available.
Who: Open to the public and free.
