Over the summer, we discovered that Nashville General Hospital’s golf cart was broken, making it difficult for patients to access their appointments, especially those facing respiratory illnesses or other mobility challenges.
Team Chad was honored to present Nashville General Hospital with a new gas-powered 6-seater golf cart shuttle, newly christened the 'Team Chad Patient Courtesy Shuttle.' This vital resource will ensure that Nashville General's most vulnerable patients can access care more efficiently and comfortably.
Not only does this new golf cart provide transportation, but it also serves as a symbol of our commitment to improving the lives of cancer patients. By removing transportation barriers, we're helping patients receive the care they need when they need it most.
Nashville General Hospital projects that the golf cart will help over 500 patients in the first year alone. This is a significant improvement, especially considering that it has already helped 100 patients in just the first two weeks!
In the words of Jennifer Balog, Chief Development Officer at Nashville General Hospital and Executive Director of the Nashville General Hospital Foundation, 'We are incredibly thankful to Team Chad for their steadfast commitment to improving healthcare access. This shuttle will profoundly impact our patients, breaking down physical barriers that have long made it difficult for many to get the care they need.'
