Economic Development News from the East Bay | August 2021

Join us on the morning of Thursday, September 23 for East Bay EDA's Fall Membership Meeting. Our keynote speaker, Manuel Pastor, Distinguished Professor and Director of the USC Equity Research Institute, will talk about how COVID has revealed our society’s underlying fragilities, vulnerabilities, and inequalities. As we imagine a future that would be more inclusive and resilient, how do we embrace the ways in which fairness can generate both opportunity and prosperity? How can the East Bay lead the nation in building both a dynamic economy and caring community?

Our Fall Membership Meeting will feature the unveiling of East Bay Forward, a regional economic assessment and roadmap on how to best position the East Bay for a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable economic future. We are grateful to our research sponsors for making this work possible: AB&I Foundry, Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC), AT&T, Bank of America, Bayer, East Bay Regional Park District, First 5 Alameda County, StopWaste, Wareham Development, and Wells Fargo.
