Just announced! Bay Area riders can now plan and book short Uber trips — ranging from two to seven miles — to and from BART stations directly within the Official BART App. BART is partnering with Uber Transit to fully integrate seamless end-to-end journey planning and payment all within the BART app. Read the full announcement from BART, our 2026 Legacy Awardee.

Samuel Merritt University (SMU), a leader in healthcare education for over a century, held the grand opening of its state-of-the-art downtown Oakland campus on January 27.
