"The Word"
May 28

Text: Haggai 1:5-7
, Matthew 25:34-46
Subject:
#SERVE By the Numbers
Sermon Series:
Life, Money,
Hope: God's Way Works
Pastor Max is starting a new sermon series entitled "Life, Money, Hope: God's Way Works." Life is a series of high and lows that we cannot control. All of our plans go out the window because life does not submit to our plans. In the midst of the ebb and flow of life, there are two constants we can count on - God and God's Word! We can find hope in and through God's Word no matter our circumstances and our happenstances. In this first sermon, "#SERVE By the Numbers," Pastor Max will provide a glimpse into God's call to minister to those who feel hopeless, trapped in poverty, and broken by tragedy and the weight of everyday life. He will answer the questions "why should you be part of East Friendship?" and "what does God require of us." Come here this powerful Word that will lift your spirit and at the same time challenge your faith in God.

Shout...out loud
It's time for Vacation Bible School
The theme this year is
"Glow for Jesus - Let Your Light Shine." We are the light of the world and God intends for us to do good in the world. Jesus saved us to shine. Instead of simply expressing our concern for the darkness in the world, this year VBS challenges us to do something - and that is to
Glow for Jesus through our actions.
