Sermon Series: Hanging With Giants
Text: 2 Kings 2:9
Subject: Elisha: Double For Your Trouble
Last Sunday Pastor Max continued his
"Hanging With Giants" sermon series with "Deborah: A Diary of A Bad Sistah." He said that God can choose a woman to lead any nation at any time. His three points that Deborah's Diary demands are:
We Affirm and Arm our Women, Take A Seat At the Table, and We Worship with our Women.
This Youth Sunday, we will look at mentorship through the
Elijah and Elisha story. It cost much to walk by the side of a prophet, a privilege granted only to a few. God wants us to mentor and raise others to follow those who lead ministries in the Kingdom. This work can often be painful yet filled with promise. This Sunday, learn how to gain double for your trouble.
You don't want to miss this series and the incredible worship at East Friendship. We are evangelizing in our families, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and strangers and inviting them to church over these next 79 days as 'Each One, Reach One.' Christ is calling us to accountability for the souls around us.
